Day 1
Airport Pick Up
Welcome to Peru! You made it! The start of an amazing Latin America adventure. Once you have arrived into Alejandro Valazco Cusco Airport, we'll pick you up and will take you to the hotel! Relax and settle in. In the evening, you get to meet your TruFam and what better way to get to know one another than over FOOD! We're real foodies over here, can you tell? Try out Quinoa Soup, a traditional soup made with quinoa and local spices. Delicious. Or try out Pollo a la Brasa which is a classic Peruvian rotisserie packed with flavour! Go on, get those taste buds tingling! We explore Cusco town and see where the night takes us as we get to know the TruFam over a beer or 2.
Day 2
Cusco City & Ancient Sites
Rise and shine! Make sure you fill yo’ stomachs at breakfast as we’re off on a orientation walk of Cusco city, Diving deep into peruvian culture where we will learn all about this city’s fascinating history. Time for those taste buds to get tingling again as we sample the local food around the market. The perfect place to get those multi-coloured souveneirs you promised everyone at home you'd bring back! Wander amongst the rainbow markets and take in the moment. You're in Peru after all! The afternoon is free to spend as you please! Take this time to relax and acclimate to the high altitude, or perhaps explore the ancient Inca and Spanish site of Sacsayhuamán. Marvel at the stones of the Incan wall complex or finish off the day at a coffee bar with an amazing view of Cusco City Square. Whatever you choose, take some time for you. Nightlife in Cusco is also a wonder to be discovered, so throw on some clothes and let's head out. Did someone say Pisco sourz?

Day 3
Culture and Local Living
How's the head? Don't worry, today is a slow day where we learn the tradional art of weaving. Catch breakfast in the hotel before we leave Cusco for the day to explore a Rural artist community. Here we will learn straight from the locals traditional natural weaving and the importance of it in Peruvian culture. Learn how to extract the wool, make the treads and naturally color the textiles. It really is a Tru-ly amazing experience. After we've mastered the art of weaving...(Well, not quite, but we tried!) we head to a local pottery school where we will learn about the traditional methods of pottery making and go full on Bob Ross as we paint ourselves a little souvenir to take home. Nothing like enjoying a day while supporting communities. Good vibes all round.

Day 4
Sacred Mountain & Mountain Biking
Wake up! It’s time for your daily dose of beautiful landscapes that Peru has to offer. We head to our next destination Ollantaytambo! Along the way we stop to marvel at the site of Maras Salt Mines along the way. An incredible view like no other! We learn from the locals about the 500-year-old ancient process of salt mining and take in the views of these mines dug into the mountainside. Jaw-dropping greenery surrounds us. Ready to turn up the adrenaline? We're going full on adventure mode TruFam! Hop on a mountain bike and ride in style down the mountain! Mountain biking is one of the best ways to take in these unforgettable views so we set off on a downhill ride surrounded by the Andes Mountains. 10/10 Scenery GOALS. The sort of views you'd see on a postcard, or a national geographic Instagram post. You get the vibe. After our adrenaline ride we check in to our hotel in Ollantaytambo, a small town in the northern end of the Sacred Valley and take the evening to relax.
Day 5
Exploring Ollantaytambo!
Ollantaytambo might seem like a mouthful to say but once you've visited, you'll be telling your friends and family about it for years. Trust us, it may become your favourite place. Enjoy the morning birds and tuck into a delicious breakfast before we head on up a small warm up walk into Ollantaytambo view point. Breathtaking mountains and historical ancient ruins surround us. Take some snaps, breathe the fresh air and pinch yourself that you're really here. The rest of the afternoon is free to spend as you please. May we suggest taking a traditional Inca food experience, exploring the Archaeological site of Ollantaytambo or simplying relaxing and chillaxing as tomorrow is the big day! We're hiking the Inca trail!
Day 6
Inca Trail, Let's go!
All aboard the Inca Trail Train! Today we say goodbye to Ollantaytambo, and catch the train to Km 104, which is 12 Kilometres before Machu Picchu! Get your pen out as we're ticking 1 of the 7 wonders of the world off of our bucket list! The journey there is an experience in itself. The train will take us alongisde the Urubamba river, the snow capped mountains and small local villages so make sure you grab a window seat! When we arrive we start the famous one day Inca trail hike. Thought you were already having the time of your life? Well, it's only just starting! Next stop Macchu Picchu! Don’t worry, we’ve got your Inca Trail permit sorted! Stress-free travels for the win!

Day 7
Machu Picchu & Inca City
Would you believe us if we said your Peruvian adventure is about to get a whole lot better? Well, you better believe us because today is a day you’ll never forget! Up the winding (but scenic) road we’ll reach the entrance of the Incan citadel Machu Picchu, the most famous (and the best) archaeological site in South America. A must-see, obvs! We spend our day taking a guided walk around the unreal ancient ruins, surrounded by lush greenery high in the Andes Mountains. Cameras at the ready, because you’ll defo want to take a few snaps, ya know for memories and... Insta, of course! Once we’ve got our pics for the gram, and we’ve explored at the sites a bit longer, it’s time to head back to Cusco city baby! Your experience of Machu Picchu will be a day you’ll never ever forget!

Day 8
Cusco Cooking Class
The morning is free to relax, It's been a big few days and after all this adventure, we've worked up an appetite. How to fix this? Learn to cook some local delicious cuisine! We're trying our hand at slicing and dicing Peru's most tasty delicacies! Cook 1 appetizer, and a main of lomo saltado (That's a local dish btw) and finish it off with a pisco sour! In the evening e head out to explore the city of Cusco!
Day 9
Rainbow Mountain Trek!
Morning campers! We know, we know, it’s early and we are all still half asleep, BUT you know what they say, the early bird catches the worm and trust us, this is well worth it. Guess what; the bus journey is 2 hours so you’ll be able to catch up on sleep until we arrive at our destination which is *drum roll please* the impressive Rainbow Mountain! Fun fact, the locals call it Montaña de 7 Colores! A whopping 5200 metres up in the Andes, the mountain is a sacred and spiritual area to the Incas! Spend the full day trekking up the mountains and taking in the majestic scenery (it looks like it’s straight out of a postcard, trust). Think layers of gold, lavender, red and turquoise and you're on the right track . Known as one of the best things to do in Peru today and an unforgettable experience, you can cross that off your travel list! Check you out. It's our last night so the pisco sours are flowing. Soooo you know what that means, get those dancing shoes on, you’ve had some practice by now, salsa dance the night away! Pisco sourz all night long!
Day 10
Chilled Check Out
It’s time to say adios! We know goodbyes are hard, but hey, you can always come back, and you’re leaving with a wonderful TruFam who you’ve made some amazing memories with, so it’s not all sad BUT we know the blues hit hard which is why it’s not a goodbye it’s a see you later. If your adventure is continuing, then our Travel Ninjas are there to help with any onward travel. Stay epic, TruFam!
