In preparation: try walking 15kms/ 9 miles in a day or working out in the months leading up to the trek. Altitute sickness is real, that's why we spend 1 whole day walking in cusco to get used to it. The hotel also provides coca leaf tea that is used by the locals to get the body ready. Our only recomendation is to take it easy on arrival and not do many activities on day 1.
